About the Somerset Churches Website

The Somerset Churches website is a work of several years. The aim of our ongoing project is simply to visit every church in Somerset and as time allows put a photographic record of these visits online. In doing so we hope to do our bit in promoting the churches themselves and the fascinating hobby of visiting churches. Up to now we have visited 310 of around 500 churches and chapels in Somerset. Unfortunately some times it can take several visits to individual churches to get inside the building itself, due to them being almost permanently locked.

Feel free to contact us if you have questions about or comments on Somerset Churches; this website; or our little group of church enthusiasts. Equally should you want to obtain high-definition images of almost any church in Somerset, do get in touch. We offer cost free images for churches and very reasonably priced images for everyone else.

Finally, Somerset is blessed with a great many beautiful churches. Why not get out there and pay them a visit yourself - and don't forget to leave a donation towards the upkeep of the church!
